FIRST NATIONS FASHION AND DESIGN INTRO TO FASHION & DESIGN SCHOOL PROGRAM

First Nations Fashion + Design (FNFD) is a non-profit organization supporting the growth of Indigenous representation in fashion and design. FNFD helps Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander designers access platforms, economic opportunities, and skills development through annual events - Aiming to create a self-sustaining ecosystem of Indigenous fashion professionals.

Trinity Bay State High School (TBSHS) has about 1,860 students, with many identifying as Indigenous. It's proud to have the highest number of Indigenous students in any Australian secondary school; offering various enrichment programs, including Visual Arts, and actively seeks opportunities for their students to explore careers in the Arts and express their unique identities.

FNFD will be hosting a 10-week program in TBSHS's Visual Arts block, along with visits to the FNFD Studio at TAFE. Students from the Year 10 Indigenous Arts Excellence and "Shells" program can eagerly anticipate these engaging sessions. Scheduled for Terms 3 and 4 in 2025, each workshop will delve into a distinctive aspect of the industry, culminating in an exciting activation at the end.
